First time back here in a while and figured I’d get some opinions. I’m currently shooting a warfed Rambo riser with medium limbs, thinking about going to a short limb? What say you? My draw is 28” so I feel like I’d get better performance from shorts but I hear some say it would just be shortening limb life which I do not want to do.

Rambo is a 21" riser - correct ?
If so, that's going to take you from 64" to 62". I don't see it causing a problem with them limbs. But, you might experience some finger pinch. Maybe not.

Yes, 21”. Which I would like to lose a couple inches. I’ve shot down to 58 so far and it doesn’t bother me just didn’t want to overwork limbs. Found some DAS 3k carbon/foam I figured would make a good hunting limb.

I have shorts on a black bear warf but I only draw 26 inches. I think they would be fine with your setup

So if you want performance over accuracy, yup it's the way to go. Just can't beat string angle. It's the whole reason that all compounders shoot releases and Oly guys shoot 70 inches.
Now if you're from the 20 yard accuracy club, shouldn't make any diff. Reach out and in comes string angle.

Realistically - with the little bit of deflex the rambo riser has, 62" is plenty long enough for a 28" draw.
