Got a good start on my bow shooting machine. Still have to build the rocking bow cradle for the front of it, then dress it up, clean it up, and paint it. When I'm done, it will be 40" from the bow cradle to the front of the crank. This will work very well. I'll update as I make progress.

Didn't bother with pictures just yet. I'll take some when I get the bow cradle built & attached.
Got the main frame dressed up, finished up my crank handle extension, and installed 100" of 2" wide ratchet strap belt.
The spool is 2" wide on the inside, so the 2" belt is forced to roll up nice & straight.
I've had 200# of tension on it so far with no creep. Perfect !

I'm a half pot of coffee into my shooting machine build.
Had to swap the rails to do the cradle extension, and maintain the inside width I want, which is 8 inches.
Found enough material to build the extension, but I'm out of bolts. Going to town in a bit to get bolts, but it'll be this afternoon before I can go.
In the mean time, I'll get the extension cut, drilled, and dressed up.
I'm making it all bolt together, so I can take it apart for storage when not using.

Made some good progress on the machine today. Have it built to adjust to lengths for both bow shooting, and string stretching. Max travel distance is 72" Going to have to double up on the crank strap to keep it from stretching so much.

Bow cradle/clamp done, and works great.
All I need to do now, is build some legs for it, and paint it.

Works perfectly, and so do the mechanical fingers for tab testing.
Just have to clean it up, and paint it now.
Not going to build legs for it. The saw horses work just fine.
I'll just set it on my work bench for string stretching.

Made an extension for the machine in order to stretch longer strings. I can get 6 more inches of length indicate in the picture if I need it. It's been holding at that weight for a little over one hour.

Got the build on the shooting machine / string stretcher completed. Just finished taking it apart, cleaning all the parts, and rubber coating them with white flex seal. Just have to wait for it to dry good before putting it all back together. Stay tuned for pictures. Rick
