Broadhead arrow for my grandson Spencer. His little arrows are only 5/16" diameter, so quite a bit to small for the broadheads I have on hand. This is a Zephyr Sirocco, that I cut down to be only 100 grains. It has an 11/32" x 5 degree tapered ferrule. I cut a piece of broken 11/32 wood arrow shaft, and drilled a 5/16" x 5 degree tapper at center. Fit's on the little arrow shaft perfectly. Then I tapered the big end to match the broadhead for another perfect fit. I stained the wood adapter piece as close as I could to match the cock fletch, then sealed the whole thing with super glue. I added some free hand art work for the cool factor for an 8 year old, but mainly I wanted to make sure he could identify the arrow when in a quiver with other. I love playing with my lathe.

He don't have enough horsepower to shoot anything big yet, and rubber blunts won't do the trick on rabbits, but arrows like this should allow him to do real good on the small game stuff.
