Draven,
who is a Good Friend, Member, and regular Contributor here gifted me a set of Border 6.5 Super Hook limbs. They are longs, and should be around 60# on my 21" riser, but I think I am going to get a 19" riser to make a 64" bow with a little more draw weight from them, and see how close I can match it all up to my 21" riser with the medium Backwoods Composite Super Hook limbs on it (when I get them).
He refused to take anything in exchange, but I had to do something for him. Death Adder Traditional 3 Under, Large, Right hand, with String Walking stitching.
Definitely one of the "Good Guys".
Thanks again Brother !

Rick, thank you for the tab! Please let us know how you like the SC when they get there. With your +29” DL on the 21” riser the HEX 6.5 should be a perfect fit - max DL for them is 30”. Based on Border recommendation the BH for 6.5 series for a 66” bow is between 7” and 8”Optimus is less reflexed than Satori but the brace close to 6.5” will work - my guess based on pers. experience. Enjoy them www.borderbows.com/uploads/Brace%20height%20recommendations%202014.pdf

I will. It’s raining here but I’ve tested it out and it is slick - feels a tad quicker than my Yost with cordovan face. I like the way you did the palm profile - the “dip” is perfectly matching my middle finger base. In terms of length, the profile works perfect with my fingers - actually I’ve superimposed the Yost trimmed to suit me and it’s the same - 1mm off doesn’t count. Stitching for stringwalking is easy to feel with the thumb nail and the back of the tab feels good against the fingers - not too thin, not too thick. Overall is a great product! I have big hopes for it, I will just let you know how it ages compared with my Yost. Yours feels just a tad better than Yost - that’s top for me.

I've never tested it myself, but I have 5 customers in Germany, that claim they get anywhere from 3 to 5 fps faster arrow speeds with my tab compared to all of the top of the line cordovans. Like I said, I haven't tested it myself, so I won't make that claim, BUT I wouldn't trade my tab for a barrel full of any of the others.

So, finally the weather allowed me to go out and shoot using Rick's tab. After 2.5 hours of shooting my Border - #53@28" - and +200 arrows I am sold. The tab is protecting the fingers even if the face is thinner than the usual cordovan face. When I tested the speed through the chronograph I've seen no additional speed compared with my Yost - average 180 fps for both. The tab came pre-trimmed and to suit me without trimming was a nice surprise - I don't know how the trimming will be done if you need to trim it. When I've seen the tabs first time I though that the round 'back" of it might be an issue compared with the Yost. I can say I was wrong. The tab is very ergonomic built. My Yost are taking the bench and I am shooting this tab now.
