Except for hunting opportunities, I have decided "to not" shoot my bow at all until I get my new limbs in next month.

It's true, I really am kinda bored with shooting these days.
BUT my thinking also is - since I know the super hooks are going to draw, and shoot quite different than what I am used to, it might benefit me to kind of start fresh with them in order to really get a feel for them without other things/habits of what I am currently used to trying to creep into the mix so much.

The "fresh Start" sounds like a good approach. But if it were me, walking past your bows and targets for a month and not using them sounds like it'll be tough.

The "fresh Start" sounds like a good approach. But if it were me, walking past your bows and targets for a month and not using them sounds like it'll be tough. I've been at this for a very long time. For many MANY years I shot every day. I got up in the morning, and shot before going to work. I took my bow, arrows, and a bag target with me to work, and shot during every break I got. I shot for hours upon hours after I got home from work. My work took me out of town a lot, and I still did the same thing when it did. If there wasn't a spot outside of my motel room where I was allowed to shoot, I found somewhere near where I could, and if not, I shot in my room. All of that was done with what we thought was a 98# @ my draw recurve, that was later discovered to be 105# at my draw with a better scale. Even though I have several bows, I've always been a one bow guy for any of my serious shooting. I've been busy enough lately, that I haven't even thought much about shooting, except for occasionally, or when hunting. That being the case, going 30 days without shooting has been fairly normal for me for the past several months. When I get these new limbs I'll be shooting a lot.

I used to travel all the time for work and stayed in a lot of low budget hotels where you see and hear some strange things. Never heard (100# bow hitting a bag target has to be a pretty good pop) or saw anything like that, though many years ago when I was still hunting, I did bring my bow and was across the street from my hotel shooting by some railroad tracks. With all the "sensitive" people out there today, you may have a SWAT team show up if we were to do that today.

What's the "days left until I receive the limbs" countdown Rick? Looking like about 3 weeks.

Nope. I know they are real busy, so I'll give them a little leeway.

I just talked to them.
Ray from there says they are way behind, and it will be sometime in August for my limbs, but he'll try to get them sooner.
I'm good with that. It'll still give me some time to get ready before the hunts start.

As long as you discussed and you are good with the answer received, all is good.
