JC Optimus Shelf Mod Take 2
I created the base for the mod with the putty JB Weld.
I molded it to fit the contour of the riser before it set up completely.
It cures similar to hard rubber, so is flexible, and easy to work with.
Once the JB Weld base cured, I whittled, and sanded it to the shape
I wanted it to be, and cut a notch in the top of it for a piece of furniture pad
felt.

I then painted the base with a black sharpie marker to darken it some,
and covered the whole thing with exceptions of the notch & bottom
with the fuzzy side of peel & stick velcro.

Installed the felt pad, and positioned / installed the base to the
shelf using double sided carpet tape.

Then I covered the rest of the factory shelf with the same fuzzy side
of peel & stick velcro.

It raises the arrow up to the center shot adjustment just right.

This shows the arrow resting against the strike plate,
and adjusted the width of the shaft outside of center.
I won't be shooting it that far out. Just showing the range of
adjustment I have, and I very well may wind up narrowing it
at the top a bit when I am done with my final tuning.

If you are wondering: "Why all the velcro?"
The answer is - Everything I do is in preparation for hunting,
and the velcro keeps the arrow from clicking on the metal riser
(or any riser), thus it is for quietness.
