A couple of days ago I did a test: shooting an arrow with fieldpoint, a bareshaft and an arrow with a broadhead at 40 yards. My point on is 45 yards and the bw used is my Ventura #57 on fingers and the arrow is 515gr / 9gpp. This is the setup I use for more than a year since I acquired Ventura. The result was interesting: - the fieldpoint arrow was close to what I was aiming at - the bareshaft hit what I was aiming at - the bareshaft went a tad higher I can say aiming with broadheads in my peripheral vision is not my thing but the results kind of make sense: bareshaft above because it had less drag and broadhead above because was planing more. Add to this the shooter's errors and things get murky. But it was interesting none the less Here is the video What's your experience? My take from this one is to shoot broadheads more to get used to it for long distance shooting. PS Pass: Draven

Draven, Good to see you here, I am a new member so it will take a little time to figure out how to post or reply to a post.
I had a D/H Ventura several years ago and it was a great shooting bow.

Good to see you here too Ron! I hope all is well my friend. All my ILF are getting dust on them since I have the Ventura.
