Sadly, I haven't come around to hunting since being in California and my old Nevada hunting partners aren't hunting this year either. And I cannot find my very, very old hunter safety course cert and will need to re-do it, yeah, I'm slacking.
I'm going to have to live vicariously through others this year, so please go kill things, post the pictures and regale us with the stories.

Been sharpening broadheads, and building tabs all morning. Currently washing clothes, and charging flashlights. I'll be out the about an hour before daylight in the morning.  |

Youngest son and I were out Saturday morning. We made the trip to the Nails Creek WMA over at Somerville, Texas. I had not been there in years.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay too long. It was a little crowded and we didn't want to disturb other folks. We did find a couple of good trails though.
We'll get a chance to go back. And I'm sure that after the opening weekend the traffic will decrease.

Seeing lots of deer, but still no mature bucks, and the pigs are all moving in the dark. That'll change as the weather continues to cool.
