So i know Rick and Cameron shoot vanes, but who else does and what is your preferred vane? Getting a new to me warf in this week and will be shooting a springy with 2016s and looking to make a bunch up with vanes instead of feathers.

I shoot trad vanes from time to time. They are as good as feathers but you need to pay attention when you glue them - they have the tendency to be “wavy”. I dislike them when shooting through a target - sh*t happens and they damage easy.

Draven, one reason i was wondering if there was other options people liked because i know the trad vanes have a narrow base and can be deformed easy from what i hear.

Shooting off an elevated rest, it really doesn't matter. You could almost get away with using razor blades for fletching if you have your tune spot on.
My favorite vanes (by far) are the Marco Soft Vanes, but they went out of business. A vane that is very similar to them are the Allan vanes, which are pretty much the same as the Marcos, but don't have as wide of a color selection.

Flex Fletch are good vanes and they have a good selection. Try their website for further info . I used their low cut banana shape with good success in the past. AAE also has a website but except for the trad vanes the longer vanes I like don’t seem to offered.

I've shot in the past something called a Bi-vane - had two humps. More recently I've tried Trad Vanes and Ricks's Marco (if that's what they're called).
All relatively easy to tune with field points. Not so much with broadheads. I might not have spent enough time with them? Shooting feathers.

Just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
