They say to take a rasp and make the bow yours. I used the putty to make it mine. I enjoy the bow very much but I wanted something more comfortable and repeatable and it came out like this: I've ordered some adhesive backed leather grip from 3riversarchery and the final product looks like this: Fits me like a glove If I will ever think to sell, I just need to pop out the putty and refinish the bow back to original.

I ve done several grips, gun to do. Here's one I narrowed a bit and then pig skin wrap.

Since I had extra adhesive backed leather I redid the handle on my Dave Johnson longbow. I was able today to go out and shoot even it was between showers. I moved the line of the stitches on the outside of the handle and I have a perfect smooth handle where the fingers are wraping around it. I really enjoy this
